In October 2017 numerous updates were made to the Covenant add-on for Kodi. One of those updates included a new dialog to display the number of different quality streams and has resulted in the error “No stream available” although streams are clearly available. Good news, there’s an easy fix.
Clear Providers and Cache in Covenant Tools
The following is the best method for resolving “No stream available” issue in Covenant.
- Launch Kodi.
- Select the Covenant add-on.
- From the main screen of Covenant, select Tools.
- Select COVENANT: Clear providers… and select Yes.
- Select COVENANT: Clear cache… and select Yes.
- Install the latest version of Covenant using the Colossus repository.
A reinstall of Covenant may not be required but it’s recommended as the repository you’re using may not have the latest version of the add-on from the Github project.
Disable the new stream dialog
The following will disable the new sources dialog and instead show the classic Exodus-style source list.
- Launch Kodi.
- Select the Covenant add-on.
- From the main screen of Covenant, select Tools.
- Select SETTINGS: Playback.
- Change the Default Action to “Directory” and select Ok.
You should still still clear the provider and add-on cache using the method above.
